Melissa Foesier, L.I.S.T.D., CFB Melissa Foesier, LISTD., CFB. Melissa, Assistant Director of THE DANCE PLACE has been teaching Ballet, Jazz and has been performing since the age of 18 years, continuing her studies throughout Canada, the U.S. and England. A graduate of the National Ballet School’s Teacher’s Training Program, Melissa has been awarded her Cecchetti Advanced and Licentiate certificates, former member of the teaching faculty at the Quinte Dance Centre in Bellville from 1989 to 1993. She has also choreographed orginal works for Caravan's (French pavilion), an award winning production of Mame, Bye Bye Birdie for the Etobicoke Musical Theatre Society, and A Chorus Line for Applause Applause Productions. Melissa has also received choreographic awards from Dance America-DanceOlympus, Can-Dance and was guest adjudicator at the prestigious B.C Jazz Competition, The Alberta Dance Festival, various Kiwanis Festivals and Footloose Dance Championships in Canada and the U.S. Melissa been trained by her father (Jacque Foesier) and is approved and qualified to teach the unique to The Dance Place, Junior dancers program for ages 3 - 6 yrs. |
