THE DANCE PLACE - Etobicoke Projected Schedule of Classes 2011-12 School Year Junior Dancer’s Schedule (ages 3 - 6 Yrs.) The Junior Dance program is unique to The Dance Place. Designed by Jacque Foesier in 1967, the content of the classes have been continuously upgraded as the needs of today’s child demand. The program material incorporates Creative Dance, Physical Music, Dance Games to encourage group interaction and Exercises designed to be fun while improving co-ordination and balance. The Junior Dancers curriculum is divided into three levels which are specific to the physical requirements of each age group. Acceptance to the program is only by assesment, invitation, and/or audition. To be accepted into the program requires dedication to art of dance and a serious commitment on the part of dancers and sponsoring parents. Auditions for TDM will take place by appointment only. 416 633 2726 or e-mail thedanceplace@bellnet.ca. All new dancers attending must arrive at least 15 minutes early, be ib proper practice attire and bring a picture along with a $50.00 audition fee. This fee will be credited to the TDM account of each accepted dancer. Parents must sign a permission form for all auditioning dancers before they enter the audition room. Parents are not permitted in the audition. All decisions of the adjudication panel are final and are not open for discussion. There. will be short meeting of successful candidates and their parents following the audition. All Schedules Subject to Change |
